A firefighter injured while fighting a large wildfire in Douglas County is stable at a Seattle hospital, and the fire itself held steady overnight Sunday as the weather cooperated and additional resources came in. The Grass Valley Fire remained at roughly 74,000 acres Monday morning - about the same size it was measured on Sunday, according to incident spokesperson Ben Shearer, and is now 10 percent contained. "Today (Sunday) was a good day. Lots of progress," officials wrote in a Facebook update. "Weather was good, and we even had some air resources helping for awhile." Shearer says as other wildfires across Washington begin to die down, more firefighters are arriving to battle this fire. Calmer winds and lower temperatures helped contain the fire, with favorable conditions expected to continue Monday.
