The 911 call came in and firefighters put out a warehouse fire at Fruit Packers Supply, only to have the same building ignite again two days later. “With these businesses, buildings, infrastructure, trucks and all that material it's a rough estimate of about twenty million (dollars),” Jeff Pfaff with Yakima Fire Department said. In the last five days, Yakima firefighters have responded to seven suspicious blazes. Four of them already labeled as arson. Four of the seven started last Thursday: A small brush fire near HWY 12 and 16th Ave., Fruit Packers Supply on 16th Ave., a dumpster fire at 202 E. Chestnut Ave. and another small brush fire near 6th Ave and Gordon Road. On Saturday, Fruit Packers Supply again. Then in the last 24 hours: An abandoned home off 16th Ave. and a small fire off South 3rd street.
