They're used to working side by side, but soon firefighters and police will be facing off in an epic competition.
Will police officers take the win with their skilled shooting? Or will the firefighters put out their hot hand?
Kennewick firefighters and police officers will be going head-to-head in their annual charity basketball game.
Last year, the game was a nail-biter, and firefighters won by a single point.
"I’d like to say that we're going to beat them by 25 points or so,” firefighter Bucky Marsh said. “My guess is it's going to be a close, hard-fought match with hopefully the fire department coming out victorious."
The firefighters say the real goal isn't to win. It's to help families in our community.
All the money raised will be donated. The game is Friday night at 6 p.m. at Southridge High School, and everyone is invited. Admission is by donation--you choose how much.
