Vancouver Fire is inviting the public to come check out their two new fire stations on Saturday afternoon. The stations are located just over a mile-and-a-half apart along Fourth Plain Boulevard, which is one of the city’s highest call volume areas. Vancouver Fire said the new stations will help improve response times and make for more efficient coverage from all four locations in the southwest part of the city. The newly-constructed buildings meet current earthquake safety standards, ensuring their teams can respond even after a major earthquake.
