Update: Grant County firefighter dies after being exposed to toxic chemical

After spending nearly two weeks in critical care at Harborview Medical Center, hospital officials have confirmed with iFiber One News that Moses Lake area Firefighter Dan Dishon has died of the injuries he received during an accident at Moses Lake Industries on December 27. Dishon, a captain with Grant County Fire District 5 and battalion chief with Grant County Fire District 13, was taken off life support Sunday night and pronounced dead Monday. He was 39 years old. Dishon has volunteered with Grant County Fire District 13 since 2011 and was a paid captain with District 5 in Moses Lake where he volunteered for 15 years.
