A man was critically injured Monday morning in a house fire in West Seattle. Firefighters were called just before 8 a.m. to the house at 4022 39th Ave. S.W. They found a large column of smoke from the home, and neighbors pointed out to firefighters where the man who lived there slept. "I was on my way to work and saw the activity and pulled over to see if I could help," said neighbor Ian Reid. "The house really burned quickly -- it really engulfed itself really quickly. By the time I went around and came back - it was 5 or 6 minutes and the fire had gone halfway through the house."
