The public is invited to a celebration of life ceremony Saturday for Grant County firefighter Dan Dishon.
The ceremony starts at 1 p.m. at the DeVries Activity Center at Big Bend Community College.
Dishon, 39, died Jan. 8 from injuries sustained in an industrial accident at Moses Lake Industries Dec. 27.
Dishon was a volunteer with Grant County Fire District 13 since 2011 and was a paid captain with District 5 in Moses Lake, where he volunteered for 15 years.
“While Dan was an exceptional firefighter he was also a great person, leader and friend,” Grant County Fire District 13 Chief James Stucky wrote. “We can’t emphasize enough how much Dan will be missed, by our firefighters, the fire service, the community and all those who he has impacted through is service. We miss you and are proud of the astounding impact you’ve made and will continue to make on the safety of Grant County.”
