A Vancouver, Wash., teenager who is accused of setting the Eagle Creek Fire in the Columbia River Gorge last summer is set to appear in court for the first time next month. The fire was first reported Sept. 2, 2017 near the Eagle Creek Trail, where police say a 15-year-old boy threw a firework down a ravine during dry, hot weather. The fire exploded overnight and continued growing to 32,000 acres within just three days. It was officially 100 percent contained by Nov. 30, 2017, after burning a total of 48,831 acres.
