Firefighters rescued a man who was injured by a piece of equipment while working on a sewer project several feet underground in Ridgefield. The man was taken to a hospital with moderate, non-life-threatening injuries, according to Clark County Fire and Rescue. Crews were working on a sewer project in a subdivision near Northwest Hillhurst Road and 229th Street when the man was injured Monday afternoon. A spokesman with Clark County Fire and Rescue said firefighters rappelled into a deep hole to treat the injured man. They pulled the man out at 4:15 p.m.
