Fire destroyed a house in Aberdeen late Friday night, claiming the life of one person.
The Aberdeen Fire Department said they found the body of someone believed to be living in the house. Aberdeen Police detective Kristi Lougheed said this person was the only one in the building when the fire happened. There were no other injuries. Just before midnight on Friday, firefighters responded to a fire at 410 N. Alder St. in Aberdeen. Upon arriving, units found the house fully engulfed by the fire, which also damaged a neighboring house.
A second alarm was quickly called for.
It took more than an hour for the 18 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
