A duplex in north Lynnwood caught fire Friday morning, displacing five residents. Three people sleeping in the duplex were awakened when a passing driver stopped, honked and yelled that there was a fire, South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said. Two other tenants weren’t home. No injuries were reported. Crews arrived at the 1900 block of South Lake Stickney Drive at 8:05 a.m. to find flames had broken through the roof, Hynes said. The fire started in one unit and spread to another. Twenty-seven firefighters were called to the scene.
