A fire of unknown origin destroyed a mobile home Tuesday outside Bainbridge Manufacturing, a Waterville business that builds plastic cabinetry hardware.
The fire was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 200 block of West Third Street, and the mobile home was fully involved when firefighters arrived, said Douglas County Fire District 1 Chief Dale Jordan. The mobile home was not inhabited and was partly used to store some of Bainbridge's paper records, he said. "We kept it to that and a pile of leftover parts and stuff they had dumped out there," Jordan said. "Some of those burned, but nothing of great value."
