Firefighters appear poised to seal the fate of two fires currently burning in Chelan and Douglas counties. Fire officials say the 25 Mile Creek Fire near Manson is 80% contained. Full containment of the once destructive blaze is anticipated to happen Wednesday. State mobilization crews will disperse by Tuesday evening. Lakeshore Drive is expected to open on Tuesday. In Douglas County, fire crews stymied the growth on the Chelan Hills Fire and the blaze is now 97% contained. 244 personnel are re-enforcing containment lines and are eliminating hazard trees. Two homes and several outbuildings burned in the fire. Some corn and about 80 acres of wheat fields burned in the blaze. A temporary flight restriction in the area has also been lifted. There are no road closures now.
