The East Valley Fire Department and American Medical Response Ambulance are now working together in a trial program.
On Friday morning there was a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new partnership. This will help with emergency medical service in the Terrace Heights and East Valley area.
The partnership between the fire department and paramedic ambulance is only a trial, depending on the amount of patients they receive the partnership may become permanent.
Mark C. Emery, EVFD Fire Chief said the partnership will help the community.
“This is a really good test of reducing response time, getting a paramedic to the patient much faster and hopefully not only will it improve service but the patient’s outcome,” said Emery.
East Valley Fire Department is also inviting the public to their 43rd annual Pancake Feed this Sunday.
