Spokane Fire crews pulled a body out of the Spokane river Thursday night.
Someone reported finding it around 5:00 p.m. near the waste water treatment facility, less than a mile form Riverside State Park.
Spokane Police officers responded to the scene and called in the fire department to help with the recovery effort, which took more than an hour. "The fire department was able to use one of their apparatus, their ladder apparatus to help us hoist that body out so that was extremely helpful and made getting the body out much more efficient," said Spokane Police Officer Nick Briggs.
