A large brush fire that burned near Selah Saturday night and into Sunday morning is contained.
According to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, that fire burned approximately 1,789 acres since it started near Buffalo Road.
Several fire crews, including DNR, Selah Fire Department and the Yakima Training Center all responded.
DNR officials say crews did a good job keeping the fire contained Saturday night.
About 100 people continued to work the area on Sunday.
No one was injured and no structures were burned.
Crews will be back out Monday to continue checking the area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
