A 2-alarm fire burned an apartment building in Kent Sunday morning. The fire broke out just after 9 a.m. in Building F at the Apex West Hill Apartments on 45th Place South. Firefighters arrived to see flames visible from the building. Firefighters believe the fire may have started outside the building and spread to the attic, according to Tim Perciful with Mountain View Fire and Rescue. "We were asleep and then all of a sudden we were woken up by someone banging on the door super loud," said witness Krista Hogue. "We heard screaming outside, and then went out to the balcony and some guy was yelling 'get out! Get out!' and there was smoke everywhere. We just grabbed what we needed and got out."
