A big change is coming for the Pasco Fire Department. Deputy Fire Chief, Dave Hare, is retiring at the end of June. He's been with the Pasco Fire Department for 27 years. Hare began his career in 1979 in Idaho. He made his way to Denver to get his medical certificates. After, Hare made his way to Hanford then Pasco. "I'll miss chasing fire and I'll miss the guys," said Hare. "It's time." Hare said not only did he enjoy working with his fellow firefighters, but helping out the community as well. He says he's a little nervous about retiring, but Hare has another job on the way. "I'm not retiring. I'm going to be a house husband," said Hare. "That's a whole different career field there." According to the Pasco Fire Department Facebook page, Ed Dunbar will take over as the new Deputy Fire Chief.
