Three lose their home in Yakima County following mysterious brush fire

Firefighters say three people have lost their home after fire at a row of bushes spread to the inside of a house in Yakima County. Firefighters with Yakima County Fire Protection District No. 5 were alerted to a fire outside the home at 611 Webster Road near Sunnyside around 4:39 p.m., Monday and found bushes on fire which had already spread to the exterior of the house. Captain George Saenz stated the fire had made its way to the inside of the home by the time the first engine arrived. Firefighters extinguished the flames at the bushes and the home by 5:30 p.m., according to reports. Investigators said the blaze also caused some damage to part of a fence and a couple trees at a neighbor's home. According to reports, the fire is believed to have started near the road where evidence of a small debris pile was discovered near the row of bushes.
