A detached garage was destroyed by a fire Tuesday afternoon on Teague Road outside Centralia, according to the Riverside Fire Authority.
A number of vehicles and the contents of the garage, including tools, were completely destroyed.
The fire was reported at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Teague Road, Assistant Chief Rick Mack told The Chronicle.
When crews arrived, they found the garage on fire, scorching a nearby home. Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading further.
The owner was at a nearby property cutting hay at the time of the fire, Mack said.
“He didn’t have any idea of what could have caused the fire,” he said.
