Authorities say a fire destroyed an RV and killed a person inside early Sunday morning. The fire occurred on the 14000 block of North Griffin Road near Prosser. Officials say they originally got the 911 call at 1:45 AM. The caller reported the possibly-occupied RV was completely engulfed in flames. When fire fighters arrived on the scene, they found an RV engulfed in flames, power lines down and another structure threatened by the fire. Benton County Sheriff Deputies and Yakima County Fire District Five also responded. Nine fire fighters managed to put the fire out 30 minutes after the first call for help. After extinguishing the blaze, responders searched the RV and found the body of a person. Officials did not release any information about the victim.
