Crews attempt to recover body after fall at Palouse Falls

Crews are now attempting to recover a body from the waters at Palouse Falls after a person fell from the top of the 200-foot waterfall, according to KHQ. A person called Franklin County Sheriff’s Office around 1 p.m. after they saw a friend fall into the water and fail to resurface, according to the Spokesman-Review. Multiple agencies, including Benton County Search and Rescue, Franklin Fire District 3 and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report. Two people have died at the falls this year; one from a fall and another after being sucked under the falls, according to the Spokesman-Review.
