Nearly six years after a fire destroyed an Ephrata home, a man has reportedly admitted to starting the fire. James Wyman, 24, was arrested Thursday morning for arson in the first degree and burglary in the first degree in connection to the December 2012 blaze. Ephrata police were called just before 11 a.m. by Wyman’s mother, who reportedly told officers her son admitted to her on Oct. 1 he had started the fire at a neighbor’s home in the 1600 block of C Street Southwest. Wyman was brought into the police department for an interview and later booked into Grant County Jail. Information as to what Wyman told police during the interview was not released.
