An Everett marina was evacuated Monday morning after an intense fire broke out in a boathouse there. A fireboat and other crews responded to the scene, in the 1700 block of West Marine View Drive, at about 8 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and flames. Police evacuated boaters from the Central "G" Dock at the Port of Everett while firefighters battled the flames, which sent a plume of black smoke towering over the Everett waterfront. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are under investigation.
