A house was destroyed during a fire early Sunday morning. Firefighters were forced to battle the flames from outside of the house on the 4600 block of Hilltop Loop. After the first and second floor ended up collapsing and released natural gas. While on the way down it damaged a gas meter, making the fire more dangerous to put out. We talked with one neighbor today, who said she was just seeing the damage for the first time. “I'm shocked, I walk pass here several times a week and I didn't even notice this happened last night. I feel horrible that this happened to the family,” said Molly Kane, who lives in the neighborhood. Right now the cause of the fire is still under investigation and everyone inside the home got out safely. Damage is around 700 thousand dollars and the red cross is helping the family out.
