Chelan Fire and Rescue has received a state honor for its innovative efforts to serve citizens. The department and its leadership/management team earned the second-place award in the B Class category at the Washington State Fire Commissioner Association fall conference last week in Spokane. Chelan Fire and Rescue competed against fire departments in the state with budgets between $2 million and $4 million in the Management Excellence Award Program.
