Four family members managed to escape a two-alarm fire that heavily damaged their home in Kent early Thursday morning.
Multiple witnesses called 911 around 4 a.m. reporting flames shooting from the home in the 26500 block of 115th Place SE, according to Kyle Ohashi with Puget Sound Fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found the entire front of the home engulfed in flames, along with two burning cars in the driveway. A second alarm was called and firefighters worked not only to douse the flames on the first home but save an adjacent home from burning. "We were very concerned about that," Ohashi said. "Fortunately, firefighters were able to put a curtain of water between the homes and extinguish the cars quickly."
