Fire destroyed a large shed Monday in the Town of Hamburg. The shed collapsed at Double P Dairy about an hour after the fire started. Traffic was reduced to one lane on County Road A, as crews fought the blaze. Firefighters say the owners of the farm were not at the scene when the fire started. Five different fire departments responded to the blaze. "I have not found out yet what started it, but we got the call. There was a shed fully involved, full of hay, so that's why we called in all the recruits." Ken Gauerke, Hamburg Fire Department's Chief. Fire crews expect to be on scene for several hours to further investigate the cause and put out hot spots. No people or animals were injured.
