VIDEO: One person is in the hospital after a fire broke out inside an Eau Claire house early Thursday morning. Crews were called to the scene at 2222 Gooder Street just before 1 a.m. When they arrived, flames were visible from the back of the house, along with heavy smoke. One person is being treated for smoke inhalation. Every person in the house was able to make it out of the house when the fire started, but the family dog had to be rescued by firefighters. The Eau Claire Fire Department says there is about $80,000 in damage to the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
