Students are being allowed back into a “determined safe area” of Lincoln Elementary School following an evacuation for possible mercury contamination. The district says no students will be dismissed until they have been checked by medical personnel as a “precautionary measure.” The students are being allowed back inside under the direction of the police and fire department, according to the school district. The district has asked parents to stay away from the school located at S 105 Buchanan St until officials have more information about when students will be released. The Hazmat team is on scene.
