For firefighters, high quality training in a controlled but realistic environment can be the difference between life and death when they confront the real thing. It is something that any firefighting professional knows; a firefighter is only as good as the training they have undergone to prepare them for the real thing. At the same time, getting high quality interior firefighting training in an isolated rural location can be problematic. It’s just not possible to burn a structure down on a regular basis, and that kind of exercise can be almost as dangerous as an actual fire itself.
