A house fire Saturday night killed two pets and caused about $33,000 in damage. Two Rivers firefighters were called around 6:43 p.m. to the home in the 2000 block of Jackson Street. Smoke was seen coming from a window and front door of the house. Once inside, crews were able to put out the fire and save a dog and a cat. A kitten and ferret died from the heavy smoke. No residents were home at the time of the blaze.
