VIDEO: Flags around the state were ordered at half-staff on Saturday by Governor Scott Walker. It's in honor of Wisconsin Firefighters Memorial Day and to honor Korean War Veteran Cpl. Donald Ray Hendrickson. The flags were lowered to recognize the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while on duty as firefighters. Local departments said it was an honor for those who gave their lives to be recognized. "It's a somber reminder in communities large and small of the sacrifices that are sometimes required in this line of work," said Matt Kozloski of the Wausau Fire Department. Flags will also be at half staff on Monday in honor of State Senator Rick Gudex of Fond Du Lac who was found dead on Wednesday.
