Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire on Sunday in a vacant apartment that juveniles fled prior to their arrival. The Appleton Fire Department, along with crews from the Grand Chute Fire Department, were called about 2 p.m. to 2707 W. Fourth St. Grand Chute firefighters found the blaze in the basement and put it out with a water extinguisher. Appleton crews ventilated the home. Police found two juveniles who were involved in the fire, officials said. The apartment sustained minor smoke and fire damage. No one was injured.
