VIDEO: Members of the Granton Fire Department pulled a man out of more than six feet of flooding water Wednesday night. The Granton Fire Chief said the man's vehicle was swept off the road after he drove through a closed road that was covered in water. The driver eventually got out of his vehicle and was taken away by the strong current. That's when the fire department heard him calling for help. "A few of the guys went down farther to listen and see if we could find him further down. That's when someone reported that we could hear him by the bridge, " explained Jason Strey, a firefighter who was on the scene and helped save the man's life. Three other fire departments helped rescue the man. Chief Chester Oldham said their department didn't have all the equipment needed to pull him from the 40 MPH waters.
