Lynn Fraser watched Thursday as Eau Claire firefighters extinguished a blaze that engulfed the home of her employee, Nou Thao. “She has worked so hard to better herself and was doing so well,” said Fraser, owner of Lynn’s Chatterbox Cafe, where Thao is the manager. Fraser said she expects to do something to help Thao, who lost not only her home but her vehicle and other personal belongings in the fire. Firefighters were called to 4126 Mary Place — the south side of a duplex — on the city’s northwest side at 12:38 p.m.
