Three people were rescued Friday morning from a fire in a duplex in La Crosse. The La Crosse Fire Department received a call at 7:07 a.m. about a fire at 1714 Ferry St. Heavy smoke was coming from the second floor of the duplex and three people were at the windows when firefighters arrived. The fire department used a ladder to get them all to safety and extinguished fire quickly. One person was taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The fire is under investigation.
