VIDEO: No one was hurt but two families have been displaced after a fire at an east side duplex Sunday afternoon. Janesville Battalion Chief Chris Lukas tells Channel 27 News firefighters responded to the house at 634 South Main around 12:30 to find a lot of smoke coming from the back of the building. He says the structure is a two-unit home; with a family of two adults and two children upstairs, and one person living in the downstairs unit. The fire did extend into the living and attic areas of the home but was quickly extinguished.
