A smoky kitchen fire in an apartment building in Beaver Dam left 15 people injured early Tuesday morning, with five people needing to be rescued, several hanging out of second-floor windows. The fire was reported at 12:10 a.m. at a 24-unit, two-story apartment building on Lake Crest Drive, the Beaver Dam Fire Department said. Arriving firefighters found several people hanging out of windows, with five people trapped in the apartment where the fire was in the kitchen.
