Every year the West Salem and Bangor-Burns annual fire department dances attract hundreds of area residents to come out and support their local fire departments, and enjoy some good music, food and refreshments. The Pat Watters Band will perform during the Bangor-Burns Fire Department dance on Friday, April 28, starting at 8 p.m. at the fire station in Bangor. A week later in West Salem, Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchmen, a polka band out of Sparta, will kick off the annual West Salem firefighters dance on Saturday, May 6.
