A metal storage building caught fire Wednesday night in the town of Washington, causing damage to the property owned by Management Select. According to a Township Fire Department news release: Township Fire units were dispatch at about 8:35 p.m. to 7621 Prill Road, just east of Eau Claire. An Eau Claire County sheriff’s deputy was the first to arrive on scene and reported smoke coming from the building. The deputy heard small explosions inside. The metal building was about 50 feet by 70 feet. Due to the size of the structure and the potential for a large fire, a second alarm was requested. Township received assistance from the Eau Claire, Altoona and Fall Creek fire departments.
