Federal investigators found thousands of child pornography images on a tablet computer seized from a Milwaukee firefighter, court records show.
Robert Rutley, 44, told investigators he had been interested in child pornography for more than a decade and had begun downloading it at work after a relative caught him doing it at home, according to a federal arrest warrant affidavit.
Members of the Milwaukee FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force searched his workplace, Engine House 29, 3529 S. 84th St., on Feb. 10. When agents walked in, they saw Rutley on a recliner watching TV with his iPhone in his hand and a Samsung tablet computer in arm’s reach, court records show.
