PHOTO: Firefighters stayed at the scene of a construction site fire Monday afternoon to make sure newly sprayed foam insulation didn’t reignite after they extinguished the first round of flames, according to a release. Crews were sent to 431 W. Mifflin St. around 3:30 p.m., the side of the Mifflander Apartments, to investigate reported “off-gassing” resulting from foam installation sprayed into the ceiling, according to the release. Firefighters determined the insulation wasn’t off-gassing, it was producing smoke, officials said.
