Follow Up: Assistant Chief, 53, Found Dead of Heart Attack at Eldorado Fire Station

The assistant chief of the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department was found dead at the fire station on Jan. 10, hours after a meeting. According to the U.S. Fire Administration, a firefighter found Assistant Fire Chief Rodney “Tiny” Menne, 53, at 2 a.m. deceased from an apparent heart attack. The USFA has provisionally listed the event as a line of duty death. According to his obituary, Menne had been a member of the Eldorado Volunteer Fire Department since 1989 and a past fire chief from 1996 to 2007 and in 2016 retired from the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections Dodge Correctional as a Captain.
