VIDEO: Investigators on Monday found no evidence of foul play in the death of a man in a house fire on Janesville's near east side Sunday night, according to a Janesville police news release. Janesville firefighters and police, together with the state Department of Criminal Investigations, Fire Marshal's Office and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, searched 603 S. Main St. on Monday, according to the release. Police and staff of the Rock County Medical Examiner's Office also attended the autopsy Monday. “The preliminary results of the search of the residence and the autopsy did not indicate any signs of foul play. Toxicology tests on the victim are pending, and the investigation is ongoing,” police said in the release.
