VIDEO: When Jim Guellsaw cars backed up Friday afternoon along U.S. 45 near Waucousta, he knew something was wrong. But he didn't know, yet, that a two-car head-on collision had seriously injured three people, or that it would summon three helicopters and emergency personnel from miles around. He didn't know it would be the worst crash he'd seen in more than 30 years working for the Fond du Lac County Highway Department. As he approached the wreck, Guell flipped on the orange lights on his highway department truck. As he got closer he saw a car and a truck — mangled.
