Crews responded to the scene of a residential fire in Schofield Monday morning. According to dispatch, several agencies were sent to 113 Williams Street at approximately 5:45 a.m. for reports of a structure fire. According to the River Side Fire District Fire Chief, no one inside at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported according to the Marathon County dispatch supervisor. The chief went one to explain that the origin of the fire appears to be the basement. He said it took several hours and at least five agencies to put out what he called a 'stubborn' fire.
