Just add the title of "bee professional" to the many hats the Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue wears. On Sunday, Jim Knowles, assistant fire chief in training and safety, said the department received a call regarding a large swarm of honeybees in a tree at 14 Donohue Court. "The swarm was located on two branches in the tree, so we had a couple go out there and they determined it wasn't an immediate safety concern," he said. "So we came back Monday around noon with our aerial ladder and cut the branches out." In a Facebook Live video, Knowles and other crew members worked to slowly remove the 20,000 bees and place them in an apiary beneath the tree.
