The growth in Holmen and the surrounding area has meant an increased need to expand public safety services to residents and businesses. To meet the need, the Holmen Police Department and the Holmen Area Fire Department have added new hires to their rosters. Officer Tyler Franks started with the Holmen Police Department June 26 and has been undergoing six weeks of field training with another officer. He came to the HPD from the Tomah Police Department. Franks said he gained a lot of experience at the TPD and enjoyed his time there.
