VIDEO: A Friday morning fire in the Town of Merton damaged a home and destroyed a garage and the vehicles that were parked inside. Firefighters from the Merton Fire Department were called to the home on the County Highway E near Trumpet Lane at about 5:45 a.m. Additional help was later received from crews from the Village of Sussex, the Town of Lisbon, and the Village of Hartland, Lt. Marc Moonen with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said. Two adults who were in the home were able to get out and were not injured.
